Suzuki rider Jared Love is now at home and looking to make a full recovery after his crash in practice at the Paeroa Street Races on Sunday. The highside left a 12 cm crack in his helmet and left him with a partially deflated lung. Jared praised the actions of fellow rider Jason McEwan, who was quickly at his side, and is very thankful that the rescue helicopter was so prompt.
Despite a medically induced coma and time on a ventilator he is now resting comfortably at home with only bruises to remind him of his accident. The challenge now is to get back on his feet in time to start in the Eurpoean Superstock Champs in April, riding an R1 for the Keller Corser Team.
Jared would like to personally thank all those who have been ringing to check on his progress. Apparently the phone has been running red hot over the last couple of days with messages of support from friends and well-wishers all over New Zealand. He really appreciates the support and is looking to be back on a bike soon.
