Round 3 of the 2005 Suzuki Central Enduro Series, held on Sunday 17th April, was based at the Kohinui hall, about 10 km east of the Tui Brewery at Mangatinoka. The results - Are Here:
61 Enduro riders enjoyed almost perfect conditions for a great hill country enduro. Intermediates had about 120 km and the experts, with an extra loop, did about 145 km.
There were only two DNF's, with one being the unfortunate Ross Bird who was visibly shaken after a low speed endo just after the end of the 4th terrain test.
Cam Smith (Honda CRF450) was easily the fastest of the experts, winning 4 of the 5 terrain tests and finishing 42 seconds ahead of Karl Power (Honda CR250) who was 25 seconds in front of third-placed Steven Bird (Yamaha WRF250).
The next Central Districts Enduro is also a round of the National Series at - Waimiha, May 29th:
