At the second round of the New Zealand Super Cross at Taupiri on Saturday 13 January, Peter Broxholme, riding the Castrol Honda CR125, continued where he left off from the first round

After a slow start in race one, Broxholme rode with great determination to come through the whole field to finish 3rd. He then finished the night with two seconds. This result puts him in second place overall, within striking distance of his intended aim of winning the 125cc title.

Cody Cooper, also on a Castrol Honda CR125, rode strongly all evening but got caught in a tangle in race one and finished out of the places. With better starts in races two and three, he scored a fifth, then finished third right behind Broxholme in the last race.

Stacey Oldeman, riding the Castrol Honda CR250, had a mixed bag for the evening with a second and a third.

Damien King, on the other Castrol Honda CR250, showed his overseas experience and had a good night, ending up with a bag of two seconds and a third.

The team now heads off to the third round at Tokoroa on 20 January, with all the riders looking forward to finishing the Super Cross Championship on a high note.
