REES TO LEAD NEW ZEALAND TEAM

Current Open and 600cc Sports Production Champion, Kawerau’s Tony Rees will lead the New Zealand Team in the 600cc Oceania Road Race Championship at Manfeild this coming weekend November 25/26.

Rees will ride his 1999 model Yamaha R6 that he has borrowed back for the event. Rees was not going to contest this event, until it was discovered that the Australia Team had included Shawn Giles (their current Superbike Champion).

Rees is joined in the NZ Team by:

Daniel McLachlan (Wellington) Current Formula Two Champion
Brad Selfe (Oamaru) Current No2 in 600cc Sports Production
Dave Cole (Auckland) ex 600cc Sports Production Champion
Shaun Harris (New Plymouth) ex Formula Two Champion
Ray Clee (Auckland) RESERVE, ex 600cc Sports Production Champion
Paul Gee (Auckland) Second in recent Australian 6 Hour.

Craig Coxhell (Victoria) No4 in Superbikes
Shaun Geronimi (NSW) Current 250cc GP Champion
