The 34th Annual Classic Motorcycle Racing Festival hosted by the New Zealand Classic Motorcycle Racing Register.
Ticket Information:
The event will feature over 200 classic race bikes in action plus trade stalls and bike displays. On the Friday is the 'Triumph Track Day' and on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday there will be demo rides on new Triumph models through the local countryside - see your local Triumph Dealer for details or email events@triumphnz.co.nz
Guest of honour for the Festival is Triumph 'Works' Rider Ron Chandler with the race triple he won the last 'International' race on a Factory Triple at Rouen in France. The Festival will mark the '40 years' since this event with a 'Triples' race on both the Saturday and Sunday lead by Ron on his historic machine. Other notable triples to emerge for the meeting are the 'Ex Robert Holden' Trident that he piloted to victories at Daytona and the Nor'West 200. The triple will be ridden by Dallas Rankine, former sponsor/owner of the BMS team and a leading Ducati road racer in his own right. With two days race action at the purpose built race facility, this is one event to not miss this summer.
In the Hamptons Pavillion there will be a display from Webbs of 10-15 rare race machines coming up in their next auction, plus a static display of new MV Augsuta, Moto Guzzi & Aprilia machines. Triumph NZ are the naming rights sponsor for the Classic Festival.
